Tell me about yourself.
Brief, career, and job-related. Focus on experience and most relevant things about you that makes you a strong candidate (summary of yourself based on the full job description)
What can you tell us about the company?
Talk about the history of the company, the type of business, what it sells, HQ, any important key facts (research the website)
Why do you want to work here/at this company?
You love the customers, the nature of the work, products, environment, and working would help you accomplish goals to grow and help others who enjoy it (sound genuinely passionate)
Greatest strength?
Personal quality that is key in this type of role and is reflective of your experience (communication versitile, friendliness in customer service, analytical in a technical role, creative in marketing type of role, etc)
Greatest weakness?
Something that can be good (perfectionist), you haven’t done yet, but reiterate and put focus on what you have learned and can and will improve (i’ve yet to…however…i have learned…I can learn to…better, and this role would allow me to do so.). Pick something based on the job description’s training (will provide training of…).
Deal with conflict?
Find out the problem. Either replace the product if it is, the problem itself, or work with the individual by listening and offering any information or what they need. Don’t let emotions get the better of you. Be a teamplayer with co-workers.
Why should we hire you?
reread the job post, and look at what they want. Offer what you have that is relevant - skills, experience, knowledge, and desirable things you want that you would develop from the job, which would also make you more successful in the role. Be able to be the medium between their problem and what they want.

What are your hours/when can you work?
Be as flexible as you can be - willing to work more than minimum, weekend, night shifts, and during holidays
What is excellent customer service? (give example if asked, or if can)
Listening to what the customer wants, being polite and friendly, and giving them the best you can offer them. Engaged with customers, good communication, working with your co-workers, making service as fast and smooth as possible. Appearance of store and employees are professional and clean.
Why did you leave last role?
I’ve felt I’ve outgrown the role. However, I enjoyed the valuable experience has become a part of me, and I can successfully use it anywhere I would go. While I’m not in the role anymore, I still have the skills I developed, as well as the positive relationships with the people I have worked with. If I had to go back in time, I would do it all over again. I feel this position would allow me to accomplish the new goals I have set for myself, and I would grow into it.

4 Don’t say that you don’t know how to do something…instead, say something similar you’ve done, and try to connect experiences
