Pharisee means separated one and a pharisee wanted nothing to do with non jews or sinners. Ordinary jews came to Pharisees with pronlems and the Pharisees didnt co operate with The Romans.
What were The Zealots and what were they referred to?
The Zealots were referred to as dagger men because of the daggers they held in their pockets, believing there is no madter except god they despised roman conquerers.
What were the Essenes and why Was the Scroll called the Dead sea scroll?
The Essenes chose to draw from a normal life and most lived in the desert and helped the sick and strangers. In 1947 a scroll was found in the dead sea written by The Essenes 5hus being named the Dead sea scrolls.
