Trend type forecast - An aerodrome weather report (METAR/SPECI) to which a statement of trend is appended.
It supersedes the TAF

What is a METAR?
Meteorological Aerodrome Report.
Used to identify routine observations hourly or half hourly
What is a SPECI?
A report used to identify special observations i.e.: when conditions are at or below specified criteria, or when there have been significant changes to the last report
In a TAF what visibility is given?
The prevailing visibility (the greatest visibility covering more than half the airport)
In a METAR/SPECI what visibility is given?
The prevailing and minimum visibility (both if the visibility is fluctuating)

Visibility +10km
Nil significant cloud below 5000’ or below the highest 25nm MSA - which ever is greatest & no CB/TC at any height

First 3 - Rainfall in the last 10 minutes (since observation time)
Last 4 - Rainfall since 0900 local
