Q

What was Jenness (1932)’s method?

A
  • Jenness asked participants to estimate the number of beans in a glass jar- it was ambiguous and they couldn’t know the correct answer
  • Initially, participants estimated individually, they were then put into groups and asked to provide a group estimate
  • After this they were once more asked if they would like to stick with or change their initial answer
