What is acute necrotizing gingivitis?
A
Caused by fusospirochetal microbes
Predisposing factors are poor oral hygiene, smoking, and stress
Usually occurs in young patients
Presents with bleeding gingiva and interdental gingival necrosis that is covered by a gray pseudo membrane that can be easily removed and show bleeding gums
Will have fetid odor
