Serum - unconjugated = increased
Serum - conjugated = normal
Urine bilirubin = negative
Stool urobilinogen = increased
Urine urobilinogen = increased
What diseases/conditions are associated with pre-hepatic jaundice?
Hemolytic anemia
Gilbert’s syndrome (cannot conjugate bilirubin)
Hepatic jaundice
Unconjugated and conjugated bilirubin in serum?
Urine bilirubin?
Stool urobilinogen?
Urine urobilinogen?
Serum - unconjugated = increased
Serum - conjugated = increased
Urine bilirubin = positive (you’ll see the unconjugated/direct type bc this one is water soluble)
Stool urobilinogen = variable
Urine urobilinogen = increased
