Closeset conciousness to us
The chimpanzee with his capacity for primitive reasoning exhibits a type of intelligence more like that of man than does any other mammal living today.
Tool use in chimps
using grass stems to fish for termites
Use leaves to sop up water they cannot reach with their lips. And first they chew the leaves and thus increase their absorbency.
No chimpanzee has succeeded in using one tool to make another even with tuition.
Social interaction
Chimpanzees spend increasingly more time socially grooming when they grow up sometimes a grooming session between mature individual may last for two hours. The obvious need for social grooming was well demonstrated.
Greeting behavior humans and apes
In human societies much greeting behavior has become ritualized. Smiling when greeting friends, inclining head when passing. Nod stems from submissive bowing or prostration and the smile from a nervous grim
Major differene human and chimpanzee
One of the major differences between man and chimpanzees is that chimpanzees do not have the power of speech. They do have a wide range of calls
Calls in chimpanzees
These calls cannot be compared to speech they only serve to convey basic information about some situations and individuals. Mans words can communicate abstract ideas.
Awerness of chimpanzee
Man more aware of himself then the dawning awareness of chimpanzee
