fallacy
a mistaken belief, especially one based on unsound argument
“It’s a fallacy to think that a rabbits foot will bring you good luck.” (Look up rabbits foot. I had one as a kid. It was real and dyed green. Kinda strage to think I carried around a dead rabbits foot on a key chain for luck. That was dumb.)
prodigy
a person, especially a young one, endowed with exceptional qualities or abilities.
“Mozart was a musical prodigy because he started composing music at the age of 5.”
profound
having or showing great knowledge or insight.
“It’s not just the choices you make. It’s the choices you don’t realize that you are making is a profound statement.”
atrocity
an extremely wicked or cruel act, typically one involving physical violence or injury.
“Slavery was an atrocity in American history that is still felt today.”
pungent
having a sharply strong taste or smell.
“Romy cheese has a delicious but pungent smell.”
augment
make (something) greater by adding to it; increase.
“Bill gates augmented mobile phone by adding touchscreens.”
feasible
possible to do easily or conveniently.
“It’s definately feasible to ride a bicycle.”
rational
based on or in accordance with reason or logic.
“It’s not rational to think that pigs can fly just because I put one in a catapult and launched it.”
avid
having or showing a keen interest in or enthusiasm for something
“Joe is an avid hunter and likes to go out every weekend no matter the waether.”
forfeit
lost or surrendered as a penalty, to give up
“The other team had to forfeit the game because they didn’t have enough players.”
barter
exchange (goods or services) for other goods or services without using money, to trade
“He bartered his bag of corn for 2 chickens with the other man.”
