- Concerned that everything is left to Hyde
- Discussed it with Lanyon who has fallen out with Jekyll
- Utterson dreams of Hyde and waits for him at the door
- Meets Hyde

- Utterson raises issue of will at Jekyll’s dinner party
- Jekyll admits he’s in a difficult situation
- Claims he can be rid of Hyde when ever he likes

- Serve the witness Hyde murdering Carew
- Carew was carrying a letter to Utterson
- Utterson takes police to Soho(to Hyde) he has left in a hurry leaving the murder weapon

- Jekyll insists that no one will hear of Hyde again
- Shows Utterson a letter from Hyde as evidence which was claimed to be handed in that day
- Poole says it wasn’t
- Utterson goes to Mr Guest(handwriting expert)
- Underlines similarity between Jekyll and Hyde’s handwriting

- Jekyll is more sociable and happier
- New Year he closes doors to visitors
- Utterson’s finds Lanyon sick due to shock
- Never wants to hear Jekyll’s name again
- Utterson writes to Jekyll but he wants to be left alone
- Lanyon dies
- Utterson receives two letters from Lanyon- one says that the other is not to be opened until Jekyll does or disappears

- Utterson and Enfield see Jekyll from the window
2. Conversation is interrupted when Jekyll looks horrified and slams the window shut

A
- Poole visits Utterson as he is worried about Jekyll
- They shout through the study door but a strange voice replies refusing to see them
- Poole reveals that this person has been trying to order chemicals and once Poole saw the figure in the lab and he confirmed that it was Hyde
- The two break down the door
- Find Hyde’s dead body
- Large envelope addressed to Utterson which is Jekyll’s will leaving everything to Utterson
- Letter instructing him to read Lanyon’s letter and Jekyll’s confession

A
- Lanyon’s help was needed by Jekyll
- He is asked to go to Jekyll’s house, break into the study and take a drawer home
- Lanyon is asked to wait for a stranger in his consulting room to whom he should give the drawer
- Midnight he opens the door to a messenger dresse din oversized clothes
- Man mixes chemicals and invites Lanyon to watch
- Lanyon sees him turn into Jekyll
- Jekyll tells him the whole story
- Jekyll and Hyde are the same person

A
- Description of when he was young
- He had always had a bad side and science led him to divide these personalities to two separate people
- Creates potion, takes it and sees Hyde in the mirror
- Drinks it again and becomes Jekyll
- Writes will leaving everything to Hyde
- Jekyll is horrified by Hyde’s actions and wants to spectate himself from him
- Trampling of the girl
- Loses control and wakes as Hyde and has to make a choice as Hyde has become too strong
- Chides Jekyll but is drawn to old life
- Takes mixture again and kills Carew
- Destroys all evidence of Hyde and takes mixture again
- Uncontrollably turns into Hyde in Regent’s Park
- Asks Lanyon to get the drugs needed to turn into Jekyll but can only remain as Jekyll for short periods
- Chemicals run out
- Writes full statement
- No longer cares what Hyde does and his life ends
