What is a Super Tuscan?

What does Amarone mean? How is it made? What does ripasso mean?
Amarone means ‘big and bitter’
The wine procedure picks only the ripest grapes and lays them on straw mats to dehydrate and raisinate. This brings up the residual sugar ratios and when fermented produce wines that are 14-16% alcohol, after most of the sugar ferments.
Ripasso means adding grape skins from Amarone back to Valpolicella, giving it extra alcohol and more flavor.
