Made allies with Napoleon-(polombieres) in 1858 make austria look bad & provoke them

Known as the ‘sword’ of unification- brave member of MAZ Young italy.
Gathered troops by the thousand- captured sicily with 1000 r-shirt vis 25,000 gov
A- proved his commitment to uni as he handed over his southern conquest to Victor Emmanuel II & abandon his own beliefs
A+ abandoned his position in 1861 and wasn’t around to see a unified italy - not in later stages

Garibaldi was fighting even when cavour died bu cavour was more imp as many disliked Garibaldi’s as he was irrational and unpredictable- no trust but cavour used diplomatic skill to win victories for uni
