A+Not as powerful as Russo wasn’t strong on his own and would often have to forge alliances to achieve full support

General strikes- militant action with over 1M evolved
Socialist Trade unions gained member 2M by end of 1919 compared to in 25,000 before
A-Gain support from industrialists and M/C who feared rev. and beloved they could rely on Russo to prevent it
A+people supported socialists who wanted better wages and improved living conditions people wanted to see them improve economic problems beforee offering support

Musso could use propeganda effectively- increase support made him appear the obvious choice for leader
Weakness of italian gov- EV
as it could have been any party to take over the weak gov. socialist only had 1/3 votes but Russo had support from people like the black shirts- without the role of Russo himself there would be no guarantee they wouldd have achieved power
Social and economic divisions EV-
peoples saving became worthless- 25% degrees in real wages- took advantage and gained support of the people just after italys weakness- without Russo and his knowledge and courage on how to play the economic divisions into his favour there would be no guarantee of them winning
