What was Italy like before 1919?
A
Italy achieved unification in 1870. She had a constitutional monarchy like GB. However, politicians were corrupt. Rather than focusing on solving he problems in Italy, they did things for their own gain. Italy was a poor and backward nation. Industrial progress was slow, Italy lacked land and resources, and many were unemployed. A large number emigrated abroad.
