IT Culture and Society - MST Flashcards
A system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with unique identifiers (UIDs) and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction
Internet of Things ( IoT )
It is a collection of interconnected devices that communicate with other devices without human involvement.
IoT network
He was a software engineer and early internet evangelist who had built and created the first IoT device for the 1990 show floor of Interop, a trade show for computers.
John Romkey
He coins the term “internet of things” to describe the eyes and ears of a computer.
Kevin Ashton
It is a network of resources a company can access, and this method of using a digital drive increases the efficiency of organizations.
Cloud Computing
It is human–computer interaction in which a computer is expected to be transported during normal usage, which allows for the transmission of data, voice, and video. Mobile computing involves mobile communication, mobile hardware, and mobile software.
Mobile Computing and Applications
The use of advanced analytic techniques against very large, diverse data sets that include structured, semi-structured and unstructured data, from different sources, and in different sizes from terabytes to zettabytes.
Big Data Analytics
A term for technology applications where human input is minimized. This includes business process automation (BPA), IT automation, personal applications such as home automation and more.
Automation
It is the ability of a digital-computer or computer- controlled robot to perform tasks commonly associated with intelligent beings. The term is frequently applied to the project of developing systems endowed with the intellectual processes characteristic of humans, such as the ability to reason.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
It is the use of computer modeling and simulation that enables a person to interact with an artificial three-dimensional (3-D) visual or other sensory environment.
Virtual Reality (VR)
An enhanced version of the real physical world that is
achieved through the use of digital visual elements, sound, or other sensory stimuli and delivered via technology
Augmented reality (AR)
This system, like Bitcoin, allows you to input additional data without changing, replacing, or deleting anything; a system of recording information in a way that makes it difficult or impossible to change, hack, or cheat the system.
Blockchain Data
The 5th generation mobile network. It is a new global wireless standard after 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G networks.
