- Companies have taken a flexible accumulation approach = achieving profit in a range of ways
- ICT helps business keep up with demands
- companies regularly rebrand and remarket eg cars
- Everything can be turned in to a commodity (sold for profit) eg sport
- Time and space compression (idea that the globe is metaphorically shrinking) allows products to be imported for profit

- People are more accepting of capitalism and revolution is unlikely
- Hopes for rainbow alliances (campaign groups uniting)
