A policy which meant America had to stay out of foreign affairs

1) Wilson hated the idea of war
2) America was not wanted to be dragged down by problems of Europe
3) Europe was financially ruined from WW1
4) people wanted America to finally boom

What was the result of the USA focusing on developing its economy?
It grew and income rose

Weapons and food were sold to Britain and France and also they captured trade markets from other countries

How did Isolationism contribute to the Great Depression?
Due to the Isolationist tariffs which meant that when the US stock market plunged, there was no chance at foreign aid
How did Isolationism fuel racism?
Because the Isolationist policies favoured American ideas
