IRONY- these 2 men only have each other with no-one but Scrooge is surrounded by people but chose to be alone - link to ‘as solitary as an oyster’- comparison to Scrooge (geographically)

C- under the spirit of Xmas joy+ positivity is high and as Christians we should appreciate each other

C- he’s fulling his duty as Christian, that they need to help other no matter the class, to be generous

L- active verb: he’s actively being kind to others- working to no longer to no longer be lonely

Fred believe to help other, contrasting Scrooge distance himself.
