- Hand Hygiene before (Wash or sanitize)

- Cover wounds/affected areas when transporting pt

- Gown and gloves
- Hand Hygiene upon exiting (MUST BE WASHING)
- BLEACH WIPES instead of Hydro.-perox.
- Use absorbent pads when transporting pt
What is the difference between droplet and airborne microns?
Droplet has more than 5 microns but airborne has less than 5

- No Aerosolized procedures

- NO fresh fruit, veggies, or flowers
- PPE may be needed
- Mask on pt when leaving room
3 main ways to be our best CAREgivers?
- Educate pt as much as possible and explain the situation
- Ease their concerns as much as possible
- Comfort and reassure them

CLEAN

- Gown: Inside and back, including ties
DIRTY
- Mask: Outside
