Difference between Zakat and Khums
Zakat is purifying money, give 2.5% of savings to charity
Khums is for Shias’ only. 20% of their annual excess income

Fasting, makes us feel fortunate to have food
What is Hajj
Pilgrimage to Makkah, visit Allah’s house
Greater Jihad
Struggle living as a Muslim

- They can appear as people

- Revealed the Quran to Muhammed over 23 years
Mik’ail
- Angel of Mercy, rewards the righteous
- Summons thunder, rain to Earth
Israf’il
- Blows a trumpet on the Day of Judgement
Predestination
- Your life is already set by God, it cannot be changed, no free will
Akhirah
- Everlasting life after death in Heaven or Hell
Importance of Prophet Adam
- Father of Creation
- Started Risalah (Prophethood)
Importance of Prophet Ibrahim
- Built the Ka’ba
- Extreme loyalty to Allah, sacrificed his son
Importance of Muhammed
- Founder of the Qur’an
- Greatest prophet, completed Islam
- Met Angels/Prophets and Isa told Muhammed Muslims should pray 5 times a day
Imamate
- When Muhammed died, Islam split into Sunni and Shia
- Shia belief leadership should be kept in the family line of Muhammed
