- God’s will is supreme and cannot be changed, therefore everything that happens on earth is predestined, so humans don’t have the freedom to change their destiny. So free-will does not exist.

- Muslims put all their trust in Allah instead of other beings.

1 - Tawhid (1 God)
2 - Angels (channel of communication for Allah’s msg to humans)
3 - Muhammad is the most important prophet
4 - Day of Judgement (will come, people will be judged + Jannah/Jahannam)
5 - The Quran is the most important writing (holds the highest authority)
6 - Supremacy of God’s will (Allah already knows an has decided what will happen - this cannot be changed)

- Muslims feel comforted because of Judgement day.
- Muslims put their trust in God’s will as it is supreme and cannot be changed.
- Muslims abstain from idol worship.
What are the 5 roots of usul’ad-Din?
- Tawhid
- Prophethood; Muhammad is the seal of prophets and Allah’s revelations through him are true.
- Adalat (The Justice of God)
- Resurrection of souls on judgement day to be judged by Allah.
- Belief in the Imamate (Imams are the leaders of Islam and guards God Word without error).

- Muslims abstain from idol worship.

- Comforts Muslims with the belief of resurrection and judgement day, with also a sense of satisfaction of justice.
