What is Shahada?

A

This is the Islamic declaration of faith. ‘ there is only one God, Alah; and and Muhammad is his messenger.’ Anyone who recites this and means it can become a Muslim.

A

Before Muslims pray they before my washing ritual known as Wudu. Washrooms are found in all mosques. This shows respect Allah.

A

The Mihrab is one of the main parts of the prayer hall. It is an alcove in one of the walls of the mosque. It points to the direction of Mecca. When Muslims pray they must face the direction of Mecca.

In this area all the mats facing the direction of Mecca. Prayer mats are used to create clean area to pray.

A

Because Muslims believe that God is in heaven. They believe that heaven is up so they put the Qur’an on the highest place so it is closest to God.
