What does the word Risalah mean in Islam?
Risalah is the belief that Allah chose special people to communicate his word to humanity.
What is the definition of the word Tawhid in Islam?
Tawhid is the belief in the oneness of Allah.
What is the definition of the word Shirk in Islam?
Shirk is associating other things or beings with God
It is considered the worst crime in Islam and is a crime in c=some countries.

Omnipotent means all powerful.
Define immanent.
Immanent means close to every human and within all things on Earth

Beneficent means all-loving.

What do Muslims mean by ‘angels’? [2 marks]
Most Muslims believe that angels or malaikah were created before humans with the purpose of following the orders of Allah and communicating with humans. Angels are immortal, made of light and have wings.
Describe Shi’a beliefs about the five roots in Usul ad-Din. [5 marks]
The five roots are:
Tawhid - this is the belief that God is one
God’s Justice - God will be a fair and merciful judge on the final day.
The Prophets - Respect for the prophets, especially Mohammad
Leadership - Shi’a Muslims believe that that leaders such as the imams are necessary to protect the religion and give people guidance on how to live correctly.
Resurrections - Muslims will be resurrected and judged by God.
Describe the Sunni beliefs about the 6 articles of faith.
The 6 articles of faith are:
Belief in one God (Tawhid) - This means having absolute faith in the oneness of God.
Belief in Angels - Angels were the first creation of God.
Belief in the holy books - The holy books of Islam should be respected. This is especially true of the Qur’an.
Beliefs in the Prophets - Muslims believe the prophets should be respected but never worshipped.
Belief in the day of judgement - Muslims believe that life on Earth is a test and that, after they die, they will be judged by God and sent to either Paradise or Hell.
Belief in predestination/fate - This means that everything in the universe follows Allah’s masterplan – Muslims believe that Allah has decided everything that happens.
