ISAR optimal height
No real optimal heights, as altitude increases, the doppler from pitch increases and doppler from roll of target decreases, lower altitudes preferred
Optimal grazing angle for ISAR
None really
Best aspect for ISAR image
Oblique bow/stern aspect i.e. 45 degs off target
What do ISAR aperture settings do
Induce or reduce doppler to get better resolution and superstructure details on vessels, remember it is based on sea state high (2x) for low sea state, low (0.25x) for high sea state

4000ft to 41,000ft
Best grazing angle for SAR
4-9 degrees
Groundspeed lims for SAR
450kts , anything above 350kts will give flight dynamics exceeded error
