What is a Theist?
A person who believes in God.
What is an Atheist?
A person who does not believe in God.
What does Rational mean?
A belief that is logical, reasonable and based on good evidence.
What is Monotheism?
The belief in only one God.
What is Polytheism?
The belief in many Gods.
What were Richard Swinburne’s beliefs?
He believes that the amount of supernatural experiences or miracles experienced by others is sufficient evidence to prove the existence of God.
What were Thomas Aquinas’ beliefs?
He believes that there must have been an original creator something that created the Big Bang and caused the existence of the Universe.
What were William Paley’s beliefs?
He believes (much like Thomas Aquinas) that something had to design the universe it couldn’t happen by accident. Much like us designing the watch it cannot just fall together it is simply too complicated.
