Q

what is the Adoption Study? what were the results?

A
  • genetic vs environmental on cognitive development
  • the test was conducted over 20 years
  • these test were measured general cognitive ability, verbal ability, spatial ability, processing speed, and recognition of memory.
  • adoptive children resembled their adoptive parents slightly in childhood
  • during childhood they became more like their biological parents
  • this level became consistent with the matched non-adoptive offspring
