Private IP addressing
A
Devices can not connect directly to Internet.
Computers outside network cannot access devices with private IP address.
Access must be obtained through router.

A
Computers are given fixed IP address that never change. They always keep the same address every time it connects to Internet.
Easier to track data,less cost effective. Useful for printers.

Dynamic IP addressing
A
Computers on network given an IP address when they are connected to network for that session.
It changes each time they are connected.

IP uses set of rules to send and receive messages at internet address level.
