A
Typically infants between 6 to 18 months. Boys affected more

Features
A
Intermittent, severe, crampy abdo pain
Inconsolable crying
Draw knees up to chest
Vomiting
Blood stained stool (red current jelly): Late sign
Sausage shaped mass

Diagnosis
A
Ultrasound investigation of choice (target like mass)

Management
A
Treated with reduction by air insufflation under radiological control
If this fails, or child has signs of peritonitis, use surgery
