- what effect do psychological factors have on performance in sport/exercise
- what effect does their involvement in sport/exercise have on the psychological development/wellbeing of the participant
what is sport
“Sports are institutionalised competitive activities that involve vigorous physical exertion or use of relatively complex physical skill”
what is competition
“A situation in which a comparison of an individuals performance is made with some standard of excellence, in the presence of others who are aware of the criteria (standard) for comparison and can evaluate the comparison process”
what is science
“systematised knowledge gained from observation study and experimentation carried out to determine the nature of principles of what is being studied”
what are the 4 main goals of science
