Q

Histology vs cytology.

A

Histology- often therapeutic as well as diagnostic, can differentiate invasive from in situ disease, better for immunohistochemical and molecular testing. Cytology- faster and cheaper, can be used for cells in fluids, higher inadequate and error rates.
