if patient is connected to a ventilator and is brain dead, need to be checked by to doctors- one has to be the consultant and the other doctor should have > 5 years of experience and needs to be checked 6 hours apart.
Why is the body kept in the ward for 2hours ?
For suspended animation
If the cause of death is not known .
write a probable COD or differential diagnosis
Assess if an inquest is necessary
If not , write the delcaration of death form
