What makes up the employment relationship?
A
Legal contract: an employee enters into a contract promises to work in the future.
Economic exchange: wage effort bargain refers to the amount of effort an employee puts into work. Conflict may occur when managers try to maximise the employees effort while keeping costs down.
Employment as a power relationship: when become an employee, they are subjected to the issues of who makes decisions in the organisation and who is affected by those decisions.
External influences on the employer relationship: trade unions, employer associations and government regulation.
