An indicator of a biological state which can be objectively measured and evaluated.
How did Freud believe mental illness occurs?
In neurosis, the ego suppresses the id, in psychosis the ID detaches from reality.
Describe the Free Energy and Bayesian Brain theory.
Using prediction to process constant sensory information more efficiently. In mental illness, it may be that there are errors in the prediction.
What is suggested as a basis for cognitive disorders?
Result from abnormal connectivity in the cognitive control network.
What is the difference between functional and structural connectivity?
Functional connectivity is how 2 regions interact, structural is the physical wiring of the brain.
