What is your opening line?
Hello everyone. Firstly thank you Colleen for letting Greg and I join today’s town hall and thanks to all those who haven’t dropped now I am talking!
We are here to talk about… (finish the sentence)
We are here to talk about culture, and how FCOEa re progressing against there local action plan.
what is a good place to start?
A good place to start however its emebering that every organisation, big or small has its own culture and it is a big part of what makes them stand out from the rest.
What are MUFG committed to?
MUFG are committed to creating a culture that is inclusive, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone , and I hope this is where Greg and I come in.
Tell me your personal story - part three of the introduction:
Speaking personally m I moved from the lake district to London 4 years ago now. For those who have never ventured outside of the m25, no it is not near Milton Keynes when I say from the north. Naturally, the move was a big change and im not saying this because David and Ruth paid me to do so, but being part of COE and FCOE and the culture there made this transition seamless to me.
what is paragraph 4?
This is where culture lies on everyone within FCOE to contribute and hopefully where Greg and I can come in to help. try not to laugh.. or cringe but Greg and Ia re the cultural influencers. Believe it or not, we did not pick the name, but believe it or not I am working hard in the background to get Greg a Tik Tok account.
What comes after all jokes aside?
All jokes aside, this the first opportunity Greg and I have had to talk to the department about the culture work which is going on across FCOE and the bank. With that being said, a good starting point is to define our aim.
what do we aim to be?
We aim to be soundboards across FCOE, where people feel confident in making suggestions with the trust that we relay this feedback to Senior leadership and act on this feedback.
what do we aim to do in simple?
In short, we aim to make coming to work less of a transactional experience and more of a community.
How do you handover to greg?
Anyway, that’s enough from me for now, im going to handover to Greg to walk through some of the things we have achieved so far.
