What is Technology?
Material, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Size.
Anything that makes something more efficient, cost-effective, last longer, easier to use, stronger
Explain + Example… Material
What something is made of.
Dri-fit shirts: It was made up of natural fibres. Now we can air dry it with all those material blends for clothing that make it more suitable.
Explain + Example… Mechanical
Anything that has moving mechanisms.
Fans: Before it was made by people swinging leaves at one another, now we have powered ones and no human labour for the fan to move.
Explain + Example… Electrical
Anything that runs on power/electricity.
Lights: Before we had candles and the sun. Now we have artificial lighting to see in the dark.

Has power and digital processing.
Digital Clock: Before we had to use the sun to tell what time it was. Now we can put a clock in our pockets, so we don’t have to go blind studying the sun

Anything that has gotten bigger or smaller that helps it to be more efficient.
Computer: Before, computers could cover an entire acre of land just for a few things they could do, now we have portable laptops that can do a lot more and have less space taken up.
What are the Four Main functions of a computer?
input, process, storage, output.
What is Input?
keyboard, mouse/trackpad.
What is Process?
CPU.
What is Storage?
RAM, SSD, HDD (hard disk drive).
What is Output?
Screen, Printer, Speaker.
What are the Nine enemies of a computer?
Liquid, Heat, Hacker, Drop, Virus, Magnets, Static, Corruption, Dust.

CPU, RAM, and SSD.

Handles all communication between all components and peripherals.

Stores what current files you are using, opens files, and programs, is Temporary, and short-term, and Only works when the computer is ON.

The editor can type on the document, the viewer can only view it, and the commenter can write ideas or comments.
What are the similarities between the sharing options?
All have access to the document.
What are the 2 types of lists?
Bulleted (order doesn’t matter) and Numbered (order matters).
What are Docs defaults?
Arial, size 11, *80 built-in color options.

A link.
What are the main commands of Sheets?
Underline, Bold, Italics, Highlight, Color, Fill *80 built-in colors.
What are Sheet defaults?
Arial, size 10, numbers: right align, letters: left align.
What are the defaults for borders?
Default, black.
What are the alignments?
Horizontal - left, right, center, Vertical - top, middle, bottom.

Well known you only need one, for numbers you need 2.
