types of realist approaches

A

right realists= share conservative, new right outlook. ‘zero tolerance’ stance on crime. influential in UK and USA.

left realists= reformist sociologists. favour policies to promote equality

both see crime as a problem but their solutions to crime differ and their views of its causes.
