What is the categorical imperative?
Act only according to that maxim whereby you can, at the same time, will that it should become a universal law
What is practical imperative?
Act in such a way that you treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of any other, never merely as a means to an end, but always at the same time as an end
What is meant by Kantianism?
The act istelf is more important than the outcome of that act. The rightness or wrongness of actions does not depend on their consequences but on whether we fulfill our duty
What is meant by utilitarianism?
Actions are right or wrong according to the balance of their good or bad consequences
What is meant by moral sense?
An emotional responsiveness manifesting itself in approval or disapproval
