what is a acute illness
A sudden illness from which a person is expected to recover
what is a assisted living facility
Provides housing, personal care, support services, health care, and social activities in a home like setting
case management
A nursing pattern: a case manager (an RN) coordinates a person care from admission through discharge and into the home setting
Chronic illness
An ongoing illness, slow or gradual in onset, for which there is no known cure; the illness can be controlled, and complications prevented

A person needs a mechanical ventilator to breath, the goal is to breath without the ventilator

someone with chronic respiratory disease who remain symptomatic or continue to have decreased function
for example, a person has a tracheostomy if it is temporary the goal is for the person to breath without it if it is permanent the person learns tracheostomy care and management
Wound management
the person has a chromic wound from surgery or trauma wound healing is goal
Neurological rehabilitaion
the person had a stroke or has a nervous system disease or injury
Orthopedic rehabilitation
the person had a joint replacement surgery, or the person has a bone joint or muscle injury or disease
Complex medical care
the person has a complex heart kidney digestive or other disorders, the persons with cancer or aids may need complex medical care
