Q

What is the difference between unipolar and bipolar leads?

A

Unipolar: (V1-V6)

  • all chest leads are unipolar
  • measures the potential variation at a single point

Bipolar: (leads I, II and III)

  • half limb leads are unipolar and other half are bipolar
  • measures the potential difference between 2 points
