- group, aggregate (broad spectrum)
- lg group, collection of people who share one or more personal or environmental characteristics
- they may or may not share culture and SES
Eg. Jewish females in a certain community; teenage girls in a high school; homeless people at a particular shelter; an entire community; group of seniors in a particular residence
