What are the first three in the order of life?
Atom, Molecule, and organelle
What does CER stand for?
Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning
What does PMC stand for?
Program, Metabolism, and Container
How are patterns important when trying to prove something
They can show how one thing can be different than trends in data.
Why is it important to know how to argue scientifically
It is important to know how to get your point across.
How can we know if viruses are living or not?
There are multiple ways to know if it is living or not, one of the biggest is to compare it to living things. PMC is also a big factor
How do you link the evidence to the claim?
You give an in-depth analysis of the data. Explain how it is related and how it shows proof of the claim
Why is analysis of data needed?
To show to others what the evidence means. Also shows that it is not just random words on paper.
Why is Metabolism needed?
Metabolism is needed because it gives a living thing the energy required to fulfill daily life.
What is bigger, an Organ or an organelle?
An organ is bigger than an organelle
What does Program do?
Program essentially tells the living thing how to work. It is basically the code to a computer.
What is the point of a container?
A container allows for the environment inside to be controlled. The container typically monitors things coming in and out.
Can something be alive without a container?
No, a container is necessary for life
