When should you NOT create a pre-renewal direction?

Q

When you start an OOS trans, how do you know it’s OOS?

A

There’s a popup that tells you. PolicyCenter displays an OOS dialogue box before starting the wizard and displays a warning label at the top of the wizard screens.

17
Q

What criteria does PolicyCenter use to determine if an OOS transaction conflicts with a later effective transaction?

A

If each transaction changes a single given field to a different value, then the two transactions are in conflict.

18
Q

If there are no conflicts, what additional work must the end user do?

A

When there are no conflicts, there is no additional work. PolicyCenter automatically merges the data from the 2 transactions.

19
Q

If there is at least one conflict, what additional work must the end user do?

A

For each conflict, the user must identify whether or not the earlier eff dated value overrides the future dated value in the future slice of the policy.
