Q

Name and give detail to the 3 types of symbiosis.

A

Symbiosis- an association or interaction within a certain population between members of a different species

Commensalism- one organism benefits from the other and the other does not benefit and is not harmed in anyway.

Mutualism- both organisms benefit from each other in the relationship

Parasitism- one organism benefits and the victim/other organism is harmed

Q

How are abiotic or physical environment important to a niche?

Q

Define resource partitioning.

A

That is the action which enables competing species to share the resources by accessing these resources in different ways, involving less competition. (Birds eat fruit on tree, bugs eat barks and leaves.)
