Intrepretation Shoulder Flashcards
If patient has limited passive lateral rotation they might have?
Subcoracoid bursitis
Anterior capsular contraction
If patient has limited passive medial rotation?
Posterior capsular contraction
If they have limited passive elevation and normal scapulohumeral range?
Shoulder hurdle problem
If they have limited passive elevation and limited scapulohumeral range?
Acute subacromial bursitis
If patient has full range but resisted movements are negative?
Inert other than capsule
Pain at end range
AC sprain, chronic subdeltoid bursitis, lesion of conoid/trapezoid ligament
Patient has full rage but resisted movements are positive?
Contractile structures
Patient has excessive range and positive for instability test?
Anterior, posterior, or inferior stability
Patient has limited ROM and capsular pattern?
Arthritis
Traumatic arthritis, monoarticular steroid sensitive arthritis, immobilizational arthritis, shoulder hand syndrome, haemarthrosis, crystal synovitis, septic arthritis, primary tumors, aseptic necrosis, osteonecrosis, rheumatoid type arthritis, metastasis
If they have limited ROM and non-capsular pattern.
Inert structures other than capsule and limited elevation, medial and lateral rotation.
