- onset-start until pt falls asleep, hearing exaggerated, cooperative but doesn’t remember, pupils still reactive

- excitement-loses eye movement, ability to open/close eyes, great risk for injury, involuntary movement, sensitive to external stimuli, pupil dialated

A
- unconscious-loss of reflexes, vitals drop, cannot hear, no pain, pupils now constricted

- over sedated-respiration and cardiac failure, pupils fixed, dialated, start/stop CPR, use NARCAN if having trouble waking, resp < 10
