4 types of interviews
structured = set questions that must be followed
semi structured = set questions that can be elaborated, extra, follow up
unstructured = idea of questions going into it
group = small group questioning
Structured interviews PET issues:
P: time consuming to invite and run, less opp to build a rapport
E: sensitive topics, not anonymous
T: reliable can be easily repeated, may lie
Unstructed interviews PET issues:
P = time-consuming to train, expensive to access, build rapport, know the topic well
E = sensitive topic, not anonymous
T = able to develop validity as following up questions, less reliable as will struggle to repeat
Group interviews PET Issues:
P = develop rapport, least time consuming
E = sensitive topic, not anonymous
T = Interviewer bias
