Interventional neuroradiology is used to treat arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs), tumors, and intracranial aneurysms. It is also used for stent placment
and/or angioplasty to treat cerebral stenoses and to
revascularize cerebral circulation following acute strokes.
