dyspnoea and dry cough (insidious onset)
slowly progressive dyspnoea over months to years
fine inspiratory crackles at lung base
finger clubbing
PFTs:
- restrictive ventilatory deficit
- decrease in gas transfer factor
characteristic X-ray changes
