Interstitial fluid
A
Intercellular/tissue fluid, plasma from arterial blood that flows into the capillaries and flows into the spaces between the cells of tissues
Delivers nutrients, oxygen, and hormones to the cells
Brings waste products and protein molecules that were created within the cells when it leaves the cells

10% of the returning interstitial fluid
Collects protein molecules created within the cells as it leaves
Removes dead cells, debris, pathogens
Enters very small capillaries within the tissues and then flows into a progressively larger vessels and ducts as it travels in a one-way trip upward toward the neck
