Disadvantages women still suffer…

- Sexuality - double standards for men having many sexual partners compared to women.
- Paid employment - women are discriminated from employers and restricted access into careers. They face horizontal and vertical segregation.
- Household - women are exploited in the family and take primal responsibility for housework and childcare.
- State - interests for men then women in terms of taxation, welfare rules etc.
- Violence against women - threat of violence and sexual assault is used by men to control women.
- Cultural institutions - (the media) represent women in a narrow set of social roles (see objects, mothers and housewives)

EVALUATION
A
- Improves on other feminist ideas as it incorporates aspects of different feminism.
- STACY argues it over-emphasises the influence of social structure on behaviour. Women negotiate such systems and are more active.
