Article 9: Principles and method of work

A

. The principles and method of work adopted by the IOoFfM&W,LDH are those of the Grand Scottish Constitutions of 1786 (EV),
. revised at the Convention of the nine Scottish Supreme Councils of different countries represented at the Zenith of Lausanne, Switzerland, on 22nd September 1875 (EV).
. The Constitutions, rituals, workings (“Tuileur general”) and general regulations from the 1st to 33rd degrees inclusive
. were adopted at the International Convention of 9-15 August 1920 (EV)
. and have been adapted to the work of lodges of all degrees of the Order whether symbolic or administrative

Article 10: Composition and role of the Supreme Council

A

. It is the executive power of the Order, the guardian of the international constitution, regulations and rituals
. The Supreme Council is the keystone of the edifice;
. it is entrusted with the preservation of the principles of the Order and is the ultimate initiatory authority
. Members of the Supreme Council are recruited from among the Grand Inspectors General of the Order
